Renowned for her radicalness, young Montreal choreographer Daina Ashbee tackles in her work complex or taboo subjects such as female sexuality and the identity of the Aboriginal peoples of Canada from which she comes. In Pour, Paige Culley, a highly expressive performer, allows to see the many facets of a woman's relationship to her own body, releasing as much strength as vulnerability.

Naked on stage, the dancer brings her body into a state of tension until trance and establishes a very strong visual relationship with the audience. Pour is certainly an intense enigmatic work with great beauty.

Choreographer Daina Ashbee has received two awards from the 2016 Montreal Dance Award.
